Following the spectacular landslide on March 19, 2005, in Lohme, where approximately 100,000 m³ of soil slid, partly into the harbor, extensive investigations were conducted to determine the causes and further risks.
SLOPE STABILIZATION – LOHME
As a protection against further sudden landslides of the cliff face in the village of Lohme, a monitoring system was established, including horizontal extensometers. Permanent monitoring is carried out through this monitoring system.
