The Eider Barrage has 5 sluice fields.
Each year, one sluice field is refurbished.

EIDER BARRAGE

For this purpose, the system is installed every March and dismantled in October, followed by maintenance. The measurements ensure the safety of the personnel working within the sluice field and the structural integrity of the building. When critical pressure levels are reached, the monitoring system is capable of remotely controlling the pressure relief valves, thereby relieving pressure from the base plate.
