Whether smallest distances or largest forces –
we measure everything from με up to MN
For over 65 years, the development and production of instruments for monitoring building ground and structures has been our passion.
We offer a wide range of devices to determine the diverse measurement parameters in geotechnical and structural engineering. Whether it’s instrumentation for dams, tunnels, bridges, or monitoring mines, landfills, or slope stabilization, our products are as versatile as the measurement tasks and construction projects themselves. GLÖTZL provides all the advantages under one roof.
And if there’s something to measure for which we don’t have a ready-made system, we’re happy to address your specific needs and develop a customized solution.
Our team of engineers and technical staff is here to assist you with problem-oriented and expert support.

Radio Telescope
The radio telescope is the largest in South America and is located in El Leoncito National Park in the Argentine pre-Andes at an altitude of approximately 2,500 meters. The control and monitoring of the sensors are carried out via an MCC Dyn-type measurement system with a dynamic multiplexer (MUD). The connected server is equipped with the SmartDataCenter (SDC) data platform and is accessible via the internet.

The ‘Intelligent Bridge’
An inconspicuous bridge in Wörth, Bavaria, is at the center of a research project at the University of the Federal Armed Forces. A special monitoring system with over 170 sensors generates data to create a digital twin for bridge monitoring. The primary research goal is intelligent lifecycle management to assess the condition of bridges as critical infrastructure.
Hochmosel Bridge
The Hochmosel Bridge stands 158 meters tall, is four lanes wide, and is built on shifting ground. To ensure safety, the German specialist company Glötzl has installed complex sensors under this super bridge. O₂ Telefónica ensures that the sensor data is transmitted quickly and securely to the control center.
Our Range of Services
Furthermore, we don’t just oversee a project during its inception, but also well beyond its completion.
